After care consists of 8 hours of no washing, not getting your hair wet, and not using any sort of hair ties, pins, scrunchies, clips. Letting it set for that 8 hours. After the 8 hours, you are safe to do with your hair as you please (with the recommended shampoo and conditioner, of course)!
Extra product cost also takes into account the extra time needed. Most times when extra product is needed it's because of thick hair or extremely long hair (or both). Which usually means a little more time is required to complete the service. The extra product cost is $60 for 1 oz. Being so for the treatment products it cost itself and time that has added to the service.
